How it works
The factor is the ratio of the two pan areas (and depths, if you enter them). Keep the oven temperature; a larger, shallower bake finishes sooner, a deeper one later.
Questions & answers
What size is a 9×13-inch pan in cm?
About 23 × 33 cm. A 20 × 30 cm tray holds about 20 % less batter.
Can I bake an 8-inch recipe in a 9-inch round pan?
Yes — multiply the ingredients by about 1.27, or keep them as they are and expect a thinner cake that bakes faster.
